STEP 1 - Know What You Need

• A domain name (e.g. johnsblog.com / johnsbusiness.com.au)
• A web hosting account (a place to store your web files and email online)
• A vision - know what you want! (private email accounts, a web site or the works?)

STEP 2 - Select Your Web Hosting Plan

If you anticipate heavy email usage or a media rich web site presence you may need to select a plan with larger disk space and bandwidth allocations. You wont be charged if you reach your plan limits and can easily upgrade/downgrade as your requirements change.

For business grade web sites and email we recommend selecting one of our business web hosting plans. They come complete with automated daily/weekly/monthly backups and top of the line Antivirus / Spam software.

They can also be secured with SSL if your looking to carry out business online securely (payments, credit card)

STEP 3 - Select Your Domain Name

Choosing a domain name that is available can be tricky at the best of times, most businesses choose the standard businessname.com.au but for personal customers you can get a lot more creative.

For business purposes domain names can also serve as a branding tool for your product, service or venture. International domains can extend your brand to international customers on an extension familiar to them (e.g. .co.uk).

Once you have selected your domain name you should register it as quickly as you can, its also a good idea to register any variations of it (.com .net. etc) to ensure no one else is able to register them.

STEP 4 - Order and Launch!
